Tony Funchess, multicultural affairs director for the Associated Students of Portland State University, resigned from office this morning.
According to a Facebook post, Funchess said he will still run for ASPSU student body president.
“The decision to resign does not come lightly. I am unwavering in my commitment to my slate, my community, and my conviction to serve as ASPSU student body president, but I am also aware and concerned for the safety of others who are trying to effectively lead this campus and communicate their support for my leadership at the same time,” Funchess wrote.
