Vandals frost campus security patrol car

A Campus Public Safety car was vandalized yesterday, this time victim to pink frosting.

Before 11 a.m., “Rent a cop” was written across the front passenger window with the frosting, which Lt. Craig Whitten, CPSO operations officer, easily cleaned with Windex.

“An act like that is considered criminal mischief,” he said, but added, “You can’t get too upset. It’s just one of those things.”

The cause for the incident is unknown. Whitten remarked that a student may have acted out of displeasure with CPSO’s services.

It is the second act of vandalism to a CPSO car in a month.

On April 4, an unknown person stole a patrol car while officers were subduing a suspect. The car was later found totaled.
