Earlier today, the Vanguard became aware of behavior displayed by one of its team members that is not reflective of what the organization represents. The Vanguard has taken corrective action to address the concern.
We do not support or condone any language or behavior that threatens or makes anyone feel unsafe. This type of behavior is not welcome on our team or in association with this organization in any context. We take this very seriously.
This statement is made in the name of transparency and to assure our team and readership of our ethical standards. No additional detail will be provided publicly from the Vanguard’s end regarding specifics of the incident in question, as not to create further distress or triggering events.
We seek to protect and support all people in our community, especially those who have been marginalized.
