Administration gives ASPSU some “ground rules”
Wendy Endress and the staff of the Office of Student Affairs headed a mediation session between ASPSU government members the Friday of dead week. The session came after a tumultuous week of accusations, protests and locked doors.
The administration cancelled ASPSU’s election Thursday evening, acknowledging a grievance by Reina Abolofia that the election committee had denied her right to free speech.
During the week, advisors were largely unseen at ASPSU meetings and Endress herself did not know of the offending decision, which occurred on Monday, until Wednesday.
“I’ve learned a lot this past week,” Endress said.
