Lynne Stewart, a lawyer who has recently come under fire for her defense of accused terrorist suspects, will speak this Friday concerning freedom of speech and the Patriot Act.
The event is being sponsored by KBOO community radio, the Association of African Students, Americans United for Palestinian Human Rights, the Palestine Arab American Association, the Portland Lawyers Guild, Socialist Action, Julie M. Smith and others.
Stewart was indicted by attorney general John Aschcroft for defending accused terrorists and will address this issue.
