Students seek results from ����xito program

Less than a year after Portland State President Wim Wiewel launched his Éxito program in October 2011 to promote the success of Latino students on campus, five students staged a sit-in at Wiewel’s office on May 4, claiming that the university doesn’t do enough to support them.

Athletics board creates subcommittee

The Portland State Intercollegiate Athletics Board (IAB) decided on Tuesday to create a subcommittee that will review increased allocation of the student fee to the Athletics Department’s budget, concluding a process that began when the Student Senate and the Student Fee Committee recommended a study in early March.
