Aramark’s management team has arrived and is now undertaking the task of cooking for the students, staff and faculty who regularly eat on campus.

In a coffee-loving town like Portland, one might think it would be easy to find a fantastic glass of iced coffee when the temperatures soar. It isn’t, but the intense, earthy flavor of coffee over ice can restore and refresh the body and mind on a scorching day.

The search is on for a candidate to permanently replace former Portland State President Daniel Bernstine, who left office in mid-June for an administrative position in Newtown, PA.

Portland State and food service provider Aramark officials have completed a new 10-year food service contract, which will cover most on-campus food that is sold to students, faculty and staff.

Portland State students and faculty stared at the barriers of the Smith Memorial Student Union food court Monday morning, after a contract with new food service provider Aramark left the space closed for a summer remodel.
