At noon on Sunday, Jan. 3, 2010, the new Portland State recreation center will be open for business.

Cans of food are stacked on shelves outside of room 117 in Smith Memorial Student Union for students to take freely on an as-needed basis.

Yesterday morning, four foggy-breathed individuals stood around a table between Smith Memorial Student Union and Neuberger Hall handing out free coffee and breakfast to any student who commuted by bike. These cold individuals were representing the Portland State University Bicycling Advocacy Collective (PSUBAC), a student group promoting a cycling culture.

Portland State’s radio station, KPSU, has been selected by Taiwanese radio station OH! Zone Radio Network to be part of a culturally insightful programming schedule that highlights college radio stations from around the world.
