An editorial error in a Feb. 6 news article (“Expert says city needs cheap street parking”) incorrectly altered the meaning of Dr. Donald Shoup’s presentation “The High Cost of Free Parking.” Shoup said in his presentation that he believes cities should charge higher prices for street parking, not that Portland needs cheap street parking.
