Editorial: When will it end?

The continuing construction near Portland State appears to swell with each passing day. In the past weeks, trucks, dumpsters, cones and signs have inundated the street outside the Ondine, altering Sixth Avenue to look more like one of the unkempt and disorderly freshman residences than the bustling street of college students and urbanites it is.

The continuing construction near Portland State appears to swell with each passing day. In the past weeks, trucks, dumpsters, cones and signs have inundated the street outside the Ondine, altering Sixth Avenue to look more like one of the unkempt and disorderly freshman residences than the bustling street of college students and urbanites it is. In reality, the construction is hardly anything more than a tedious annoyance, momentarily disrupting traffic flow and extending an already lengthy foot trek from PSU to the outskirts of campus. And as we hear the unfortunate news that delays by PSU will prolong Sixth Avenue’s closure, one obvious thought comes to mind: How much longer must all of this last?
