Dr. Hikari Hori from Columbia University, an expert on Japanese visual culture, including manga, anime and photography, and will present a talk on how disasters are depicted in media like manga, anime and ukiyo-e/prints — from World War II. For those interested in visual culture and/or Japanese history, this talk will be both exciting and informative.
