    Most of the ancient Egyptian dynasties were composed of ancient Semitic peoples. IIRC, only the twenty-fifth and maybe a couple other dynasties were Nubians, who would be most comparable to modern black folks.

    Greeks ruled Egypt for a while too, just before it was conquered by Romans, but most ancient Egyptians weren’t terribly close to being black or white.
