letters to the editor

Erin Watari was democratically elected to the Student Fee Committee chair position by a majority of PSU voters. Serving an internship this term with the U.S. Congress in D.C., she is unable to defend herself against the onslaught of insignificant technicalities brought forward by the losing candidate, Tracy Earll. Considering that Erin is still the ELECTED SFC chair, why is our student government treating Tracy like she is the winning candidate? Does the student vote count for anything on this campus? Why is Tracy being allowed to conduct the interviews for appointments to the SFC? This is a devastating example of a student government drunk on its own power and a biased campus newspaper. This is a clear case of out of sight, out of mind. Erin won this position through student power. Let her serve!
