Senior forward Kyle Landry, averaging 20.2 points through nine Big Sky games, had 24 points and 12 rebounds in the Lumberjacks loss to Northern Colorado last Thursday.
Just a taste: Fans should keep in mind the winner of this game will remain in, or reclaim possession of, first place in the Big Sky. The Vikings, who throttled Northern Arizona, 80-66 Jan. 5 in Portland, are riding a four-game winning streak, three of which came at home. Portland State’s matchup will be the Lumberjacks’ first home contest since Jan. 12. While the Lumberjacks sit at 6-3 in Big Sky play, 11 seconds and three points is all that separates Northern Arizona from an 8-1 record after dropping two games in the final moments last week.
