GDC wins KPSU contest
The Portland State University’s radio station, KPSU, has declared a winner for their Web site contest.

The winner is the Graphic Design Center (GDC), a Portland State student service. In June, KPSU held a contest to find a fresh new look for its Web site, www.kpsu.org, that will launch early fall term 2001.

The KPSU site is the first Web design project created by the GDC. The GDC will now offer Web design services to the public and to Portland Sate student groups, clubs and staff at discounted rates. Research fellowships
The Oregon Historical Society (OHS) announces the creation of two annual research fellowships in honor of Donald J. Sterling, Jr. The fellowships are given to one senior scholar and one graduate student.

The fellowships have been developed to encourage research in the OHS Collection and to support original, scholarly and interpretive research in the Pacific Northwest history. Applications for the senior research fellowships, with an award of $2500, and the graduate research fellowship, with an award of $2000, are now available through the OHS and must be postmarked by October 31, 2001 to be considered. Fellows selected for the upcoming year will be in residence in the OHS Research Library for four weeks between January 1, 2002 and August 31, 2002.

Pride foundation grants
The Pride Foundation is now accepting applications for its fall 2001 granting cycle.

The Pride Foundation makes grantsin support of: education, advocacy and outreach; lesbian health; health and community services; youth and family; HIV and AIDS service delivery and prevention and arts and recreations. Applications may be downloaded from the Web site: www.pridefoundation.org.
