Let’s face it—Portland has more than its fair share of gentlemen’s clubs, strip joints and bars that, in general, happen to have a stripper pole in them.
Yet such establishments do receive negative responses from time to time, especially when setting up shop somewhere new.
Communities certainly should have a say in what happens where they live, but should people have the ability to prevent strip clubs from doing business? Should strip clubs be able to put down roots anywhere they please?
The Vanguard asked our online Facebook community what they thought in a stripper poll, to gauge opinions regarding the issue.
