Stars: The Vikings began the second half of Big Sky play with big victories over Weber State and Idaho State last week at the Stott Center.

In those games, junior outside hitters Jennifer Oney and Marija Vojnovic played critical roles. Against Idaho State last Saturday each player recorded 13 kills. Look for both of these players to keep up their consistent play.

The Bobcats will look to senior outside hitter Laura Viren to continue her strong play. In their last game, a loss to Northern Arizona, Viren had eight kills and 13 digs. Junior middle blocker Kyla Hendry is statistically one of the best defensive middle blockers in the conference.

Just a taste: The Vikings take their first road trip of the latter portion of the Big Sky season to Montana, taking on a struggling Montana State squad. Portland State has swept the Bobcats in three straight matches including an easy victory on Sept. 27 at the Stott Center. If the Vikings are to challenge Northern Colorado for the Big Sky Championship, they cannot afford a slipup in Bozeman.
