Voters’ last chance

Thousands of voters waited until the final day to vote inOregon. Outside the Multnomah County Elections Office, KarenSpicher (right) and hundreds of other voters were waiting in linewith just hours left to cast their ballots. Inside the electionsoffice, elections officials struggled to keep up with massiveinflux of ballots needing to be counted.

At the Oregon Republican Election Night Party, Kevin Mannixreferenced the last minute influx in a positive manner. He saidthat though Democrats had moved to get the vote out early,Republicans had a late push, so in the last minutes moreRepublicans were voting. An anonymous Republican in the crowdcommented that, “Republicans voted late because they havejobs.”
