“Imagine higher education: Student-centered. Educator-led. Debt-free.”
That is the concept of the Portland State chapter of the American Association of University Professors’ bargaining campaign this year.
PSU-AAUP and Portland State University Faculty Association, the two faculty unions on campus, are hosting an “Imagine”-themed action event on the Park Blocks tomorrow, May 6, at noon.
The event will serve as the launch of AAUP’s bargaining campaign this year. PSUFA also begins bargaining with PSU later this month. The unions are teaming up, according to the rally flier, to “call on the administration to take concrete steps towards a student-centered, educator-led and debt-free PSU.”
