A coalition of pro-Palestinian rights groups gathered outside the Multicultural Center in Smith Memorial Student Union on Wednesday to demonstrate their opposition to the presence of Deputy Consul General of Israel to the Pacific Northwest Gideon Lustig.
Lisa Wittorff, coordinator of the Resource Center for Students with Children, knows that raising a child while taking classes is no easy thing.
“I’m a single parent,” Wittorff said. “I know what it’s like.”
Emblazoned in gold letters on the Montgomery Street pedestrian bridge on campus is the slogan “Let Knowledge Serve the City.”
