They might not have a patriotic gas tank to hide your drug money in, but today’s models of electric motorcycles entering the market maintain the sense of freedom and rebellion that their gas-guzzling cousins have made so famous.

The topic of the transgender community can be very confusing to many. After all, it is difficult for people to understand concepts that they have no experience with, especially when those concepts bombard well-established norms such as gender.

For some time now, Portland has established itself as a craft-beer-brewing Mecca, while the surrounding state of Oregon is home to a significant number of independent wineries. So it should come as no surprise that a distilling industry has begun carving its own unique niche in the Oregon array of brewing and vinting innovation.

Many of you may not have noticed it. After all, it happened so fast in the midst of last week’s Massachusetts election, the ongoing health care debate and NBC’s Tonight Show mega-blunder. But last week, a mortal wound was delivered to our political system, a wound that threatens our democracy, and could possibly destroy it.

As snow attacked the East Coast earlier this month, right-wing spinsters hit TV screens and radios as fast as they could with icy ammunition. Fox “News,” along with Sean Hannity, implied that such horrible snow could only debunk Al Gore’s global warming theory, while Glen Beck utilized his famous chalkboard to illustrate his global warming thermometer, a circular version emphasizing a lack of sense.

Sure, the Vanguard’s Facebook poll was all for fun and kicks, and admittedly not scientific. There can always be other considerations such as, you know, love. It appears trust, honesty and loyalty were dominant themes for both guys and gals when choosing a partner. The other answers were thinly spread elsewhere, though differed. But still, what could it all mean?

We’ve all heard the horrific clichés of the “freshman 15,” or stereotypes of microwave dinners and pocket meals. But hey, it’s not like you’re made of money or went to culinary school!

The condom. It has become as impressed upon our pop culture as it has in the leather of many a man’s wallet. Some praise its birth control, while some look to it as a means of keeping away a nasty sexually transmitted infection (STI) or two. So cut out the giggling. This is a very serious subject that you need to know about, just in case your pee-pee meets a hoo-ha.

Whenever the issue arises, so does this question: What harm or threat does gay marriage pose?
