ASPSU stipend shortage

Due to a clerical error, ASPSU is nearly $60,000 short of what it needs to pay all of its stipend positions throughout the year. It will present to the Student Senate tonight at 5 p.m. how this and next year’s ASPSU can compensate for the shortage.

Gertson pleads not guilty

Arrested Portland State football player Abraham David Gertson entered a not guilty plea this morning to charges of third-degree sex abuse, harassment and resisting arrest on Nov. 22.

ASPSU silent on OUS report

On the heels of a commissioned Oregon University System report suggesting the financial restructure of Portland State University, the Oregon Student Association instructed its board members yesterday via e-mail to not talk to the media and the Portland State student government leadership followed suit.

Youth coach arrested

A youth basketball coach and director of a basketball camp held at Portland State every summer was arrested on allegations of sexual abuse and burglary on Nov. 12.

Student groups grounded

Portland State student groups, such as Engineers Without Borders and the world-traveling Debate Team, are confined to the country as a result of a moratorium placed on international travel by university administrators.
