Harvest share doles out more free produce noon today

Portland State students and the greater Portland community will line up today for another iteration of Harvest Share, an event designed to combat food insecurity by giving away free fruits and vegetables.

The produce giveaway is a partnership between PSU’s Committee for Improving Student Food Insecurity and the Oregon Food bank, set up in the Park Blocks in front Shattuck Hall every second Monday of the month. The event starts at noon, and the line starts to form by 11 a.m.

Harvest share is rain or shine, first-come-first served and open to the public. Attendees are encouraged to bring reusable bags.
