Looking to stay fit and earn a few credits this summer?
Sure there’s 24 Hour Fitness, Gold’s Gym, Balley’s total fitness along with several other places across town to work out. But why pay $30-40 bucks a month to get a workout when you can put those dollars towards a healthier life along with a few credits?
If you’re thinking about taking classes this summer but you aren’t sure which one, Portland State’s new catalog has what you need to get your summer off to a healthy start.
If you’re thinking, “I don’t want to drive off campus to take these classes,” don’t worry, because you won’t have to.
And if you don’t like sports but like working out, the Latin Dance class may be what you’re looking for. The class runs Monday-Thursday from 10:30-11:20 and promises plenty of new tips.
If you want to get those tight abs for the rest of the summer, PSU is offering two weight training courses starting on June 25. Both of the classes are Monday-Thursday and one runs from 9:15-10:05 a.m.; the other is from 10:30-11:20 a.m. and will be taught by the same instructor.What about polishing those soccer skills?
The soccer class meets from 1-1:50 p.m. Monday-Thursday and according to officials, is open to all playing levels.
Planning a summer vacation? Why not learn to how to scuba dive. A scuba lab will be offered on Monday and Wednesday with the first class held on June 25. The other one will be on Wednesday, June 27. PSU officials said that students will meet in the evening at the pool.
