Women’s Resource Center opens doors

Portland State’s Women’s Resource Center formally celebrated its move into a new space in Montgomery Building Wednesday night.

The new 2,000-square-foot space replaces a tiny 100-square-foot space the Center formerly occupied in the basement of Smith Memorial Student Union. In contrast to the old cramped space, the new location has lots of room for students to hang out and for clubs to meet.

Roslyn Farrington, executive director of the Oregon Commission for Women, gave the keynote address to mark the occasion.
