Oh! how I long to feel the summer of which this band sings. This is a great record. Comparisons? Think Elliot Smith plus B&S plus Palace’s indie (not alt.) country. That’s right, another folk-pop band from England, but the arrangements are heart melting. It’s bad journalism to make so many comparisons, but here’s another: Bryan Wilson. This record makes me think if I were rich I would have a country wedding. In England. Meadows and fiddles and piano and oh-so-happy forever.
