Just a taste: Coming into the weekend, the Vikings had won four of their last five games, including three in a row at home. Portland State defeated the Bobcats in two out of three meetings last season, the last coming in the quarterfinals of the Big Sky Conference Tournament. Montana State had won three games in a row entering this weekend’s matchup, and is still very much in contention for the Big Sky regular-season title.
