CPSO adds, raises fees
In response to budget cuts, the Campus Public Safety Office will soon implement fees for services that, previously, have been free. The fees, which take effect Feb. 1, include $5 for vehicle unlocks, and $5 for the first five pages of reports and 50 cents for each additional page. The charge to hire Campus Public Safety officers is $35 an hour, up from $25. Campus Watch students are $15 an hour, up from $10. The Campus Public Safety escorts will remain free.

“We didn’t want to impact the university,” said Michael Soto, interim director of Campus Public Safety. “We have to find some way to be able to maintain the services.”
