Portland State University Student Union lead a campus walk-out today at 12 p.m. Activists, both students and nonstudents gathered to support the #DisarmPSU campaign.
According to the PSUSU Facebook page, the #DisarmPSU campaign was created in “response to a three-year battle between the PSU administration and the student activists.”
Individuals initially met at the library, where members of PSUSU, as well as Students United for Palestinian Equal Rights and other organizations spoke to a crowd of around 40 people.

40 people? Someone needs to learn how to count because there was a couple hundred people in attendance.
There weren’t a whole lot of actual students from what I saw; mostly just the people of the PSUSU. The rest were from outside organizations that have little or no affiliation with the school other than having similar social justice ideologies.
I’m guessing so few students showed up because their too busy putting work in so they can do something with their lives after they get out of school.
Kafir: The caption says “40 people,” not “40 students.” And how can you tell students from non-students? I’m a nontraditional full-time student, visible in the crowd in the first photo wearing a burgundy hat. I agree with Tina that there were a couple hundred people.
The O reporter 150 attendees.
I was in the library. I witnessed students in the library turning against PSUSU”s cause because of the sheer idiocy of that group and their total disregard for the needs of students. People were pissed, notat CPSO or the administration but at a “student” group who wouldn’t let people study for midterms in peace.
How about 40 idiots? You wonder why college grads don’t get jobs? You are not qualified to work for anyone.
